GLASGOW INCOME TRUST PLC





In accordance with listing rule 15.2.11 which prevents a Chairman of one Board
sitting on the Board of another Investment Trust managed by the same Manager, Mr
Ronnie Hanna, Chairman of Glasgow Income Trust plc, has today resigned from the
Board of Edinburgh New Income Trust plc. Both Glasgow Income Trust plc and
Edinburgh New Income Trust plc are ultimately managed by Aberdeen Asset
Management PLC.
