                       TRIAD GROUP PLC ('the Company')


The Company was notified on 3 January 2001 that following recent changes to
the investment management business of M&G, M&G Investment Management Limited,
on behalf of all companies within the Prudential plc group of companies, is
interested in 3,143,184 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company which
represents 12.34 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital.
