Contract Award

Triad Group Plc 28 October 2005 Contract Award Triad is delighted to announce it has been awarded a contract to develop and provide ongoing support for an information management system for the Transport Security & Contingencies Directorate (TRANSEC) of the Department for Transport. TRANSEC is responsible for protecting the travelling public, transport facilities and those employed in the transport industries, primarily from acts of terrorism, and for retaining public confidence in transport security. The contract was awarded following competitive tender under the S-CAT framework operated by the Office of Government Commerce. The system will make it easier for TRANSEC to adopt a common approach to its activities across all modes of transport. Benefits include improvements in the way in which information is captured and analysed and increased efficiencies and flexibility in the way in which inspection effort is targeted. The total duration of the contract is 3 years with the first two phases being delivered in January and March 2006 by a team of 8 Triad staff. The system is being developed using Microsoft's .NET framework and SQL Server database. The financial impact of this contract on the Company's results will be reflected in the results for the second half of the current financial year.
