Treatt announced today that Mrs Anita Haines has been appointed to the Board as
Human Resources Director of the Company. Her appointment takes effect from 1st
October 2002.

Mrs. Haines joined the Company's principal subsidiary, R.C. Treatt & Co. Limited
in January 1988 as Company Secretary and was appointed Human Resources Manager
in September 2000.




Note:

Mrs. Haines has no other directorships, nor is there any other information,
required under the listing Rules to be disclosed in connection with her
appointment.
