The Board of Travis Perkins plc has today received notification from Aviva plc
that following the purchase of 181,688 shares on 13 August 2004 Morley Fund
Management Ltd (a subsidiary of Aviva plc) has a material interest in 5,774,278
shares, representing 5.05 per cent. of the Travis Perkins issued share capital.


The shares are registered in the names of BNY Norwich Union Nominees Ltd
(1,274,132 shares held), Chase GA Group Nominees Ltd (3,005,383 shares held) and
CUIM Nominee Ltd (1,494,763 shares held).
