The Board of Travis Perkins plc has today received notification from Aviva plc
that following the purchase of 901,000 shares on 10 February 2004 Morley Fund
Management Ltd (a subsidiary of Aviva plc) has a material interest in 5,403,259
shares, representing 4.76 per cent. of the Travis Perkins issued share capital.

The shares are registered in the names of BNY Norwich Union Nominees Ltd
(1,232,413 shares held), Chase GA Group Nominees Ltd (2,695,931 shares held) and
CUIM Nominee Ltd (1,474,915 shares held).
