                  Travis Perkins Appointments



Mr Frank J. McKay, who joined the Travis Perkins board and was
appointed  chief executive designate on 1 November 1999,  took
up his appointment as chief executive on 1 January 2000.

Mr Charles M. Fisher, formerly chairman and chief executive of
Sharpe & Fisher plc, now part of Travis Perkins plc, has  been
appointed  to  the board of Travis Perkins as a  non-executive
director with effect from the same date.
