                            Director's Shareholding

Mr J.P.Carter, a Director of Travis Perkins plc, today sold 1,150 ordinary
shares in the Company. His wife, Mrs L.B.Carter, also today sold 1,150 ordinary
shares in the Company. Both sales were at £13.13 per share. As a result of these
transactions, Mr Carter has a beneficial interest in 8,790 shares in the Company
representing 0.007 per cent of the issued share capital of the Company.
