Mr E C Adams, a director of Travis Perkins plc, today exercised options over
30,000 ordinary shares in the Company, at a price of 307p per share.  Mr Adams
transferred 15,000 shares to his wife, Mrs C Adams, and subsequently Mr & Mrs
Adams have each sold 7,500 shares at a price of 700p.  As a result of these
transactions, Mr Adams has a beneficial interest in 120,249 shares in the
Company representing 0.11 per cent. of the issued share capital of the
Company.
