The board of Travis Perkins plc (the 'Company') was today notified that Mr P N
Hampden Smith a Director of the Company, exercised options over 30,000 ordinary
shares of 10p each in the company ('shares') at an option price of £5.715 per
share.

As a result, Mr Hampden Smith now has a beneficial interest in 85,890 ordinary
shares of 10p each in the Company, representing less than 0.1% of the issued
share capital.
