Travis Perkins plc ('the Company') has today been notified that Ian Goldsmith, a
member of the Company's Executive Committee, on the 9th September 2005 purchased
700 ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company at a price of 1462.5p per share.
As a result, Mr Goldsmith now has a beneficial interest in 1,290 ordinary shares
of 10p each in the Company, representing less than 0.01% of the issued share
capital.
