Transense Technologies PLC 18 July 2003 Date: 18 July 2003 On behalf of: Transense Technologies plc Embargoed until: 1000hrs Transense Technologies plc Wheelsure Fund Raising Transense Technologies plc ('Transense' or 'the Company') announces that Wheelsure Holdings plc ('Wheelsure Holdings'), a company in which Transense has a 75% interest, is undertaking a share issue in order to raise further funds for its development. Wheelsure Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Wheelsure Holdings, was established in 2000 to develop a new safety device to stop nuts coming loose on heavy vehicles and the loss of wheels and accidents caused there-from. Transense has invested £187,000 in Wheelsure Limited by way of loans, in order to help develop the product and improve and expand the intellectual property rights to protect the invention. Under the terms of the share issue shareholders in Transense will be offered preferential rights to subscribe for the new shares being offered for sale in Wheelsure Holdings. The share issue is fully underwritten by Astaire & Partners Ltd and following its completion Transense will be repaid the £187,000 of loans it has made to Wheelsure Limited and retain a holding of approximately 12%.
