Directors' Notification of Dealing in Shares, etc

Prior to the transaction above described, options were exercised over a total of 370,396 new 10 pence ordinary shares at various prices by a former Director and by SmarTire Systems, Inc. Of the shares arising from these option exercises, 275,000 formed part of the placing. Application will be made forthwith for all of the shares resulting form the option exercises above to be admitted to AIM, and dealings in these shares are expected to have commenced by Monday, 3 April. Following these sales, the executive Directors and the certain other persons have signed a new Standstill Agreement by which they have undertaken not to dispose of any Ordinary shares in the Company prior to 31 December 2001, without the prior consent of the Nominated Adviser and Nominated Broker save inter alia, certain transfers to family members, disposals due to an intervening court order, or a take-over offer relating to the Company becoming or being declared unconditional, or the death of the party to the Standstill Agreement.
