Directors' Share Dealings

Topps Tiles Plc ('Topps') was today notified that Stuart Williams, Chairman,
and Barry Bester, Chief Executive, have on 26 May 2000 each granted an option
to Julian Richer over 100,000 ordinary shares of 25p each in the Company out
of their personal shareholdings.  The options are exercisable at a price of
241.5p per share between 19 October 2000 and 19 October 2001 in respect of
100,000 shares (in aggregate) and between 19 October 2001 and 19 October 2002
in respect of the balance of 100,000 shares (in aggregate).

These options, granted out of the directors' own shareholdings, recognise the
substantial amount of continuing consultancy and other advisory services which
Mr Richer has been providing to the Company since October 1999 at no charge to
the Company.

Following the grant of these options the shareholdings of Mr Williams and Mr
Bester remain unchanged as set out below:
