Board Changes

Toople, a provider of bespoke telecom services to UK SMEs, today announces that it has appointed Greg Bryce as Chief Operating Officer with immediate effect. Greg will join the Board following completion of the requisite regulatory procedures.

Greg has enjoyed a successful career as a sales-led business leader with experience in all types of companies; from start-ups to multinationals and private equity backed ventures, across a diverse range of sectors.  Most recently he has been working as a mentor to start-ups in the healthcare, education, and telecoms sectors.

He started his career at WorldCom (now Verizon), where he developed to become Head of UK Corporate Sales, before leaving to start up a telecoms business, Telecom 10 Ltd, selling the entire raft of BT's products and services to the SME marketplace.  He then moved to 118 118 Media as Sales Director before spending eight successful years at DMGT until 2017, holding a variety of main board roles and often working to turn around under-performing divisions.

In 2018 he joined Powered by PIE, a business which sells a variety of SaaS and data services predominantly to the legal and professional services sectors.  He led a strategic review and turnaround implementing a commercial strategy to pivot the business away from its conventional transactional revenues to a highly profitable recurring revenue SaaS business model.  The business was successfully sold at the end of 2019. 

Commenting on his appointment Richard Horsman, Non-Executive Chairman said:

"Greg is a classically trained salesperson who clearly excels at winning business.  Moreover he is industry agnostic with expertise across private equity, fundraising, sales, finance, marketing, customer success, HR, IT and product development.  He has a proud track record of continually producing double digit top and bottom-line results and has flourished in the competitive marketplace.  Importantly he also has extensive M&A experience, having successfully overseen acquisitions worth in excess of £200 million.  These complementary skills, combined with his previous telco experience, will prove invaluable as we seek to capitalise on new opportunities that are presenting themselves in light of a continually more digitally connected UK."

Toople also announces that Paul White has resigned as CFO and as a Director of the Company with immediate effect to pursue other business interests.  The Company has started a process to identify his successor and has recruited an Interim CFO (non-board position), who will be assisted by former CFO and current Non-executive Director Kevin Lawrence until a permanent appointment is made.
