NETCENTRIC SYSTEMS PLC

Netcentric Systems PLC (the 'Company') announces that it has today completed a
private placing of 7,750,000 new ordinary shares of 5p each in the Company. 
These shares have been placed with three institutions at a placing price of 5
1/8 pence.

These additional funds raised will assist the Company in its plans to expand
its marketing and sales capabilities in the UK and USA, establish indirect
sales channels in Europe and Australia and invest in the future development of
the Company's proprietary web content management software application,
'LYCHEE'. 

The shares issued pursuant to the Placing will rank pari passu in all respects
with the existing issued ordinary share capital of the Company.  Application
has been made to the London Stock Exchange for these shares to be admitted to
trading on the Alternative Investment Market ('AIM') and trading is expected
to commence on Thursday 20 July 2000.
