Netcentric Systems Plc (the 'Company')

The Company announces that it was today advised that, on 11 July 2000, HSBC
Global Custody Nominees Ltd had a holding of 20,000,000 (8.097%) ordinary 5p
shares in the Company following the recent Placing and Open Offer.  

The Company was also advised today that, on 11 July 2000, RBSTB Nominees
Limited also had a holding of 20,000,000 (8.097%) ordinary 5p shares in the
Company following the recent Placing and Open Offer.

Neither HSBC Global Custody Nominees Ltd nor RBSTB Nominees Limited held an
interest in the Company prior to these transactions.
