Torex Retail PLC 01 June 2005 1 June 2005 Torex Retail plc Petroleum & Convenience Division Announces Somerfield Contract Win Torex Retail, a leading provider of IT solutions to major European retailers, today announces that it has won a two year, £3.3 million order with Somerfield to implement its market leading PoS solution 'Iridium' and back office system ' Prism' into 225 stores across the UK. The solution will be rolled out to both convenience and petrol convenience sites, including the newly announced stores to be acquired by Somerfield from Texaco and Fuelforce. Both Iridium and Prism are highly functional, easy to use and can be seamlessly integrated into the Somerfield head office. Commenting on the decision to award the contract to Torex Retail, Tom Scott of Somerfield said; 'Torex Retail was able to provide us with a fully integrated and highly functional solution which is already well proven within the Petroleum & Convenience marketplace. I believe that the overall roll out of the solution will increase the overall operating efficiency and profitability of our stores'.
