Torex Retail PLC 16 July 2004 16 July 2004 TOREX RETAIL PRESCRIBES £3M VISUAL SOLUTION FOR CO-OPERATIVE GROUP PHARMACY Leading retail technology solutions provider, Torex Retail plc has secured a £3M contract to deploy its Visual Back Office, PoS and Enterprise solutions to more than 300 Co-operative Group Pharmacy outlets across the UK. The deployment will commence at the end of this year following a pilot roll-out to 29 stores. Under the terms of the contract, Torex Retail will also provide all associated hardware and software maintenance within the contract. When complete, more than 500 IBM EPoS terminals will be running the Torex Visual PoS solution. The combination of Visual PoS, Back Office and Enterprise will provide Co-operative Group Pharmacy, which is based in Manchester, with a fully integrated enterprise wide retail solution for the management of all over the counter transactions. The contract is the latest in a series of major new customer wins for Torex Retail which earlier this month announced a major contract to provide a suite of performance and productivity solutions to Big Food Group in more than 950 Iceland Stores and Booker Cash and Carry branches. Torex Retail's Visual solution already has a significant installed base and is used by a number of Co-operative Societies.
