                           Posting of Offer Document

Torex Retail Plc ('Torex Retail') has today posted the offer document for the
recommended offer by UBS Investment Bank on behalf of Torex Retail for Anker Plc
('Anker'), which was announced on 30 June 2005 (the 'Offer'). Torex Retail has
also published today an equivalent document in relation to the Offer pursuant to
paragraph 1.2.2R(2) of the Prospectus Rules published by the Financial Services
Authority.  The first closing date of the offer is 12 August 2005.

In addition, an extraordinary general meeting of the shareholders of Torex
Retail has been convened in connection with the Offer by means of a circular
posted today to the shareholders of Torex Retail.  The extraordinary general
meeting will be held at the offices of Torex Retail, East Court, Hardwick
Business Park, Noral Way, Banbury, Oxfordshire OX16 2AF at 11:00 am on 10 August
2005.

for use by holders of the ordinary shares in Anker held in certificated form are
available, free of charge, at the offices of Torex Retail referred to above and
at UBS Investment Bank's offices, 1 Finsbury Avenue, London EC2M 2PP.  This

shares in Anker should not accept the Offer except on the basis set out in the
offer document, the equivalent document and, if applicable, the form of
