                             NEW BOARD APPOINTMENT


Torex Retail Plc, a leading provider of IT solutions to major European
retailers, is pleased to announce the appointment of Nigel Horn as Director of
Legal Services and Company Secretary as from 8 November.

Nigel Horn (50), a solicitor by profession, spent nearly 20 years in private
practice before joining Torex Plc in January 1999 as Company Secretary and Legal
Counsel. He was part of the senior management team of that company until early
this year and was heavily involved in its rapid growth. During his time with
Torex Plc he acquired a depth of knowledge regarding what was then the Retail
Division of Torex Plc until its disposal to Torex Retail Plc in February of this
year.

Rob Loosemore, Executive Chairman of Torex Retail Plc, commented:
