The Company was informed on 2 November 2004 by F&C Asset Management plc that,
following a purchase of 40,798 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company
('Ordinary Shares'), it is interested in 19,292,575 Ordinary Shares representing
11.51 per cent. of the Company's current total issued ordinary share capital of
167,580,844 Ordinary Shares.

 

The above holding includes the material interest of FPCP Stewardship who hold
5,712,474 Ordinary Shares representing 3.41 per cent. of the Company's current
total issued ordinary share capital. These share are held under the register
name HSBC GS Nominees Ltd.
