In accordance with the new Transparency Rules, which came into force on 20
January 2007, the Company was informed on 26 January 2007 by The Goldman Sachs
Group Inc. ('GS Inc') that, in fulfilment of their obligations under Disclosure
and Transparency Rule ('DTR') 5 (including section 5.8.1 and in observance of
the relevant exemption under DTR 5.1.3), GS Inc, as at close of business on 22
January 2007, was interested in, by attribution only, a total of 24,621,530
ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company ('Ordinary Shares') representing 5.94
per cent. of the Company's current total issued ordinary share capital of
414,825,509 Ordinary Shares.
