                             Clarification re. SFO


The Board has noted the announcement made earlier today that the Serious Fraud
Office has raided certain premises including business premises in Banbury in
connection with its investigation into the affairs of Torex Retail plc.

The Board wishes to clarify that the business premises referred to in the
announcement are not those of Torex Retail plc or any other member of the Torex
Retail group.
