Torex Retail PLC 15 March 2005 15 March 2005 TOREX RETAIL PLC BOARD CHANGE Torex Retail Plc (the 'Group'), the leading provider of IT solutions to major European retailers, is pleased to announce that following a review of the development of the Group's Retail Solutions operations in Continental Europe and beyond, Group CTO Juergen Heck is to take an operationally important dual role. Firstly, in his capacity as Group CTO Mr Heck will concentrate on the ongoing technical development and innovative expansion of the Group's java-based LUCAS product in the UK, the Continent and further new markets. His remit will also include additional product R&D initiatives. Secondly, Mr Heck will take the role of Chairman of the Torex Retail Solutions GmbH operations in Europe in order to assist in the growth of that business of which he was formerly CEO. In the light of these demanding responsibilities Mr Heck has indicated his wish to step down from the Plc executive board with immediate effect, and the Board, recognising the operational demands which the dual role will make, has accepted his resignation.
