Board Change

 

 

The Board of Digital Barriers plc (AIM: DGB), the specialist provider of advanced surveillance technologies to the international homeland security and defence markets, is pleased to announce the appointment of Bernie Waldron to the Board of Digital Barriers plc as a Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 July 2012. 

 

As previously announced, Chris Banks and Rupert Keeley will step down from the Board with effect from the conclusion of the Company's Annual General Meeting, to be held on 25 July 2012.

 

Bernie Waldron

 

Mr. Waldron has significant experience of the global technology and business services marketplace.  He served most of his career at IBM Corporation, including in the positions of Director of Strategy in New York, General Manager of IBM's Industrial Sector business for Europe, Middle East and Asia and Executive Chairman of the former Maersk Data Group of companies.

 

He is currently a Non-Executive Director of IPPLUS plc, Process Systems Enterprise Ltd and Venture Partnership Foundation Ltd, in addition to being an Associate of Criticaleye.

 

Mr. Waldron will serve on the Audit, Remuneration and Nomination committees of Digital Barriers plc and will assume the Chairmanship of the Remuneration and Nomination Committees upon the retirement of Rupert Keeley and Chris Banks in July 2012.
