Thor Mining PLC ('Thor' or the 'Company') was notified on 17 September 2007,
that John W Barr, Thor's Executive Chairman, consolidated all his beneficial and
non-beneficial interest in the share capital of the Company into Alfriston
Australia Pty Ltd ('Alfriston'). John Barr and related parties control 100% of
the issued share capital of Alfriston. John W Barr is a director of Alfriston
Australia Pty Ltd, Farbarr Nominees Pty Ltd, Cavendish Corporation Limited,
Kensington Capital Pty Ltd and Kensington Consulting Pty Ltd.



John W Barr's beneficial and non-beneficial interest in the share capital of the
Company prior to this transaction were held in Chess Depositary Interests Shares
each comprising one ordinary shares of 0.3p each in the capital of the Company
('CDI Shares') and Chess Depositary Interest Warrants ('CDI Warrants') as
follows:
