                          PLACING & ADDITIONAL LISTING

Application has been made for 4,875,000 new ordinary shares in Tertiary Minerals
plc ('the Company') to be admitted to trading on AIM. These shares are being
issued pursuant to a placing for cash at 9p per share to raise £438,750 (before
expenses). Dealings in the new shares are expected to commence on 8 December
2003.
