Trading Statement

The Core Business Plc (`Core Business' or `the Company') 7 April 2008 The Core Business Plc (LSE: CORE), the AIM-listed beauty and personal care distribution, and branding company is pleased to announce it has moved into profitability in the second half of its financial year, demonstrating a significant improvement in performance since the first half. The Company has also moved forward with a number of key operational strategies: * The Company is now distributing its Elite Models Fashion hair accessories brand in Tesco via DPT (Wear) Ltd, a third party logistics company. The range launched in January 2008 in 39 Tesco stores. * Bloom, an Australian colour cosmetics company, with which Core Business has entered into a five year UK exclusive distribution agreement will launch in 50 major Superdrug stores in late June occupying a significant 6 foot display area in each store. The company has the option to roll out Bloom to a further 150 Superdrug stores in September 2008. * The Company is in final negotiations with a major retailer to launch its own skincare brand - Grace Your Face - in over 600 stores in late June 2008. The brand will also have an international launch later this month at Cosmoprof, Bologna, Europe's largest trade beauty exhibition. * The Company has created in partnership with Superdrug an own label brand called Glamour Minx planned to launch in August/September 2008. The Company will launch, in Superdrug, a limited range of products under the Glamour Minx title as part of this agreement. * The Company's Amirose International business is due to launch a consumer website in the near future. Approximately 100 products will be offered initially with more to be sourced and added later. This launch will be supported by a PR campaign designed to highlight the existence and location of the website. * Agreement has been reached with Accessoire Beaute Cosmetiques to distribute the children's hair accessories brand, Princesse Lili, under a five year exclusive agreement for Great Britain. The Company is in advanced discussions with a major retailer to launch the range in September 2008. This strong operational performance over the second half of the Company's financial year gives the Core Business board optimism for continued progress through 2008.
