SCRIP DIVIDEND ELECTION RESULT


Applications have been made to the United Kingdom Listing Authority and London
Stock Exchange plc for 191,504 new ordinary shares of 10p each to be admitted to
the Official List and to trading on the London Stock Exchange's market for
listed securities.  It is expected that permission to admit the new shares will
be granted today and that dealings will commence on 19 August 2002.


The new ordinary shares, which rank pari passu with the Company's existing
issued ordinary shares, are being issued pursuant to valid elections for the
scrip dividend offer in respect of the Company's final dividend for the year
ended 30 April 2002.
