DISPOSAL OF PUBLIC HOUSES

The  Company is pleased to announce the disposal  of  two
public houses: the White Lodge in Attleborough (freehold)
and  the  Lord  Nelson in Winthorpe,  Newark  (freehold).
Total consideration, payable in cash, amounts to £825,000
against  a  book value of £953,000.  Unaudited management
accounts for the year ended 26 February 2000 show the two
units making a combined operating profit of £38,382.

Disposal  proceeds will be used to reduce debt and  hence
gearing.
