Directors Dealing

The Company has been informed today by E.K. Ford, Deputy Chairman, that today
(a) Mr Ford has transferred for nil consideration 182,006 ordinary shares of 10p
each in the Company ('Shares') to Mrs C.A.M. Ford, (b) the trustee of the
pension plan of Mr Ford has sold 385,478 Shares at a price of 30.5p per share
and (c) Mrs Ford has sold 182,006 Shares at a price of 30.5p per Share (being
the Shares transferred to her under (a) above).

Mr Ford's holding in the Company following the above dealings is 3,000,000
Shares (5.2 per cent).  Mr Ford has informed the Company that at the present
time he intends to make no further disposals of Shares.
