                      APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
                                      

The board of T. Clarke plc ('T. Clarke'), the electrical engineering and
contracting company, today announces the appointment of Beverley Stewart as a
non-executive director from 1 January 2005.

Beverley Stewart trained as a chartered surveyor and is Managing Director of
Allen Stewart Partnership, a London based market leading construction project
management consultancy. She has a wide-ranging knowledge of the commercial
property market, asset management and the construction industry. She has been
instrumental in establishing Allen Stewart as a leading consultancy in its
chosen sector. The consultancy boasts clients including ABN Amro, British
Airways, Sony International and Time Warner
