Share buyback programme

Taylor Woodrow plc ('the company') announces that on 22 April, 2004 it purchased
260,000  of its 25p ordinary shares at prices between 285.5 pence per share and
289.75 pence per share.   These shares will be held as Treasury shares.

This purchase equates to approximately 0.444 per cent of the company's total 
issued share capital.

The purchase was made by the company pursuant to the authorisation granted at
its Annual General Meeting on 20 April, 2004, under Section 163 Companies Act 
1985.
