                          Sale of Tower Crane Business

Taylor Woodrow plc announces that the UK tower crane hire business of Taywood
Plant Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Taylor Woodrow Construction Limited
(TWC) has been sold to Kier Plant Limited for a consideration of £2.4 million.
This transaction furthers the company's strategy of focussing on its core
businesses of housing, property, construction and engineering.
