Taylor Wimpey Share Option Plan ('TWSOP')


As previously announced, the TWSOP together with the Taylor Wimpey Performance
Share Plan ('TWPSP') were approved at the Company's Annual General Meeting on 17
April 2008.

Following HMRC approval of the TWSOP rules, received on the 25th April 2008, the
Company announces that the following share options have been awarded to two
Executive Directors and two Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibility 
('PDMR').

The price used to calculate the awards was £1.3775 being the average mid-market
close price for Taylor Wimpey plc shares for the three days prior to the date of
the awards on 28 April 2008.

The vesting of awards under the TWSOP is subject to the achievement of
performance criteria measured at the end of a three year performance period from
1 January 2008.
