            Preliminary Results Announcement
                            
The  Board  of Thames Water Plc will announce preliminary
results for the full year ending 31 March 2000 on Tuesday
23 May 2000.

The  ex-dividend  date will be 31 July  2000  and  it  is
intended that the preliminary dividend will be paid on  1
September 2000 to those shareholders on the register on 4
August 2000.
