Tate & Lyle PLC - Disposal of PM Ag Grains Division completed

Tate & Lyle PLC announces that its subsidiary PM Ag Products Inc. has
completed the sale of its wholly-owned Grains division to J.D. Heiskell & Co.

An announcement that an agreement had been reached for this transaction was
made on 14 April, 2000.
