Tate & Lyle in negotiations for disposal of ZSR Corporation of Zimbabwe

Tate & Lyle announces that it is in the final stages of negotiation regarding
the sale of its 50.1% shareholding in ZSR Corporation ('ZSR') to a management
buy-out team. A further announcement will be made in due course and, pending
this, ZSR has requested that the Zimbabwe stock exchange suspend trading in
its shares.
