                                 Result of EGM

Tanfield Group Plc (the 'Company') is pleased to announce that at its EGM held
today at 11.00 a.m. all resolutions were passed allowing the Company to proceed
with the Placing of 27,500,000 ordinary shares, raising £5.5m before expenses,
to allow the Company to pursue strategic opportunities.
