                           Directors Shareholdings

The Company has been notified today that on 26 September 2001 Roy Stanley, the
Chief Executive of the Company, purchased 5,000 ordinary shares of 1p each in
the Company at a price of 108 pence per share. Roy Stanley is now interested
in a total of 4,340,762 ordinary shares in the Company representing 34.28 per
cent of the issued share capital of that class.

The Company has also been notified today that on 26 September 2001 Douglas
Smith, a non-executive director of the Company, purchased 2,500 ordinary
shares of 1p each in the Company at a price of 108 pence per share. Douglas
Smith is now interest in a total of 32,804 ordinary shares in the Company
representing 0.26 per cent of the issued share capital of that class
