                                Board Appointment

Further to the announcement of 25 September 2006, the following information is
disclosed with reference to Brendan Campbell's appointment to the Board of
Tanfield.

Brendan (aged 41) has been working for Tanfield for 4 years as an operations
director and currently serves on the Board of Tanfield's subsidiary Tanfield
Engineering Systems Limited.

There is no further information to be disclosed regarding Brendan, deriving from
Schedule 2 paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules for Companies.
