                                  Acquisition

The Directors of Tanfield are pleased to announce that they have completed the
acquisition of ClickHere Limited ('ClickHere'). As announced on 30 November
2004, ClickHere is an IT training and management development business based on
Teeside with offices in Sheffield, Billingham and Stanley. The acquisition will
be for up to 1,200,000 new ordinary shares and will consolidate the position of
JoeKnowsit, the Groups training business.

The first 900,000 new ordinary shares have been issued at completion and are
expected to begin trading on AIM on Tuesday 4 January. A further 300,000
ordinary shares may be issued during 2006, subject to ClickHere achieving
certain performance targets.

John Pither, Chairman of Tanfield commented:

'This acquisition will provide distribution for the unique training products of
Joeknowsit and offers an opportunity for further enhancement to shareholder
value.'
