Withdrawal from sulphur dioxide business

Yule Catto & Co plc announces its decision to withdraw from the sulphur dioxide
derivates business.  Discussions are currently being held with third parties
aimed at maximising shareholder value, whilst supporting our loyal customer base
during a period of transition.  Further details will be provided as they become
available.

This decision is in line with Yule Catto's corporate strategy of reshaping its
performance chemicals activities.
