                  Appointment of new non-executive director

Yule Catto & Co plc announces that Mr Peter Wood has been appointed as a non
executive director.

Mr Wood, 53, was chief executive of Ellis & Everard Plc prior to its recent
acquisition by Royal Vopak, the Dutch bulk storage and distribution group.

Further to today's announcement that Mr Peter Wood has been appointed to the
Board of the Company as a non-executive director, the Company has been
notified of the following details concerning Mr Wood ('the Director') required
to be submitted to the Company Announcement's office pursuant to paragraph
16.4 of the Listing Rules:

1.    The Director has held the following directorships in other publicly
      quoted companies in the previous 5 years:
      Ellis & Everard Plc      -      current

      Graham Group Plc     -      past

2.    There are no details concerning the Director requiring disclosure
      pursuant to paragraphs 6.F.2 (b) to (g) of the Stock Exchange Listing
      Rules.
