The Company today received notification that Aberforth Partners ('Aberforth') 
has a notifiable interest in 20,525,295 ordinary shares of 1p each in the 
Company ('Shares'), representing approximately 12.6% of the Company's issued 
share capital.

The Shares to which this notification relates are registered as follows:

In respect of the above Shares, Aberforth Smaller Companies Trust plc have a
