                    Appointment of a Non-Executive Director



Synstar plc ('Synstar' or 'the Company'), the pan-European IT services provider,
is pleased to announce that Mrs Jo Connell has been appointed to the Board of
Synstar as a Non-Executive Director.  This appointment will be effective
immediately.



Mrs Connell has extensive experience in the management and commercial
development of leading technology companies.  Mrs Connell has spent the last
twenty-five years with Xansa plc, the IT and business services company.  She was
latterly Group Managing Director and was a member of Xansa's Board until she
left the business in March 2003 having completed the management of Xansa's
streamlining programme.  Mrs Connell also holds non-executive directorships with
Thus Plc and London Bridge Software Plc, is a governor of the University of
Hertfordshire and a trustee of Help the Aged.



Steve Vaughan, CEO of Synstar, said:

Mrs Connell was previously a director of Hertfordshire Training and Enterprise
Council, which is now in voluntary liquidation.





There are no further details to be disclosed under paragraph 6.F.2 (b) to (g) of
the Listing Rules



Jo Connell does not hold any beneficial or non-beneficial interests in the
ordinary shares of the Company.
