Expansion Order from Middle Eastern Mobile Operator

Synchronica plc, the international provider of next-generation mobile messaging services, has received a US$107,000 expansion order for additional Mobile Gateway user licenses, from the Middle Eastern subsidiary of a tier-one multinational mobile operator group. The operator has also renewed their 24/7 support contract with Synchronica for a further 12 months.

Using Mobile Gateway to launch a mass-market push email service in early 2010, the operator charges a monthly subscription of US$0.25 for unlimited access to the service. This expansion order allows the operator to accommodate a greater quantity of subscribers onto the service.

At around 13 percent by 2014, Forrester Research expects the Middle East and Africa region to record the highest rate of online growth worldwide. Cisco supports Forrester's forecast, which predicts the region will have a compound annual growth rate of 133 percent in mobile data traffic.
