Synairgen plc (the 'Company')



The Company received notification on 3 November 2004 that Tudor BVI Global
Portfolio Ltd and Tudor Proprietary Trading LLC (together the 'Tudor Fund') have
an interest in 850,000 ordinary shares in the Company ('Ordinary Shares'), which
represent approximately 3.92% of the Company's issued share capital. The Tudor
Fund's interest in these Ordinary Shares includes an interest in 200,000
Ordinary Shares held via derivative instruments (swaps), which give the Tudor
Fund an economic interest only in these Ordinary Shares with no controlling
rights.



Barclays Capital (N03) Ltd is the registered holder of the Ordinary Shares held
by the Tudor Fund.
