Symphony Plastic Technologies PLC ('Symphony') develops and supplies environmentally responsible plastic packaging products, which are distributed primarily to the retail, local authority and health related sectors. The Group's main technology, d2wTM, allows plastic to degrade, leaving only water, a minimal amount of carbon dioxide and trace amounts of non-toxic biomass over a short time period. The current d2wTM product range now includes additives, mailing wrap, stretch film, aprons, dog waste sacks and packaging films all of which is in addition to the established range of refuse and carrier bags. 2. The technology uses an additive, which is blended with standard plastic resins during the production process. Symphony's development of d2wTM technology means that the cost impact of the additive to the customer is negligible and the finished product retains all the dynamic qualities of standard plastics including strength, clarity, sealability and print. The product is engineered to maintain its stability and integrity for its calculated cycle of usage and is food contact and soil safe. The degradation process is initiated at production stage and is accelerated when exposed to any combination of heat, light and stress. Once the process is initiated it will continue even in a landfill or under water. d2wTM products can be re-used and also recycled. 3.
